My husband loves to find good fishing spots by hiking down streams and exploring new places. Sometimes, it's super fun to tag along and other times I'm not sure what I got myself into when it's been hours and we are bush wacking our way through the desert.
Luckily for me, this spot ended up being a special little sanctuary. We hiked about a mile or so in to this waterfall, way down into the canyon, and spent a couple hours fishing, painting and relaxing. Cory caught a few fish and I made one of my favorite plein air paintings. Painting at this waterfall ended up being one of my favorite memories this year.
