Most of our trip while in Montana was rainy so when the forecast said "cloudy," we jumped at the opportunity to see East Glacier. Grinnell Lake was on our list of hikes we wanted to do while in Glacier and, luckily for us, it was one of the only hikes open during the week we were visiting. It was cold and rainy one moment and then sunny and beautiful the next. When I was painting at the lake, it happened to be very cold and rainy so I had to cut this painting a little short (hence the "unfinished"). However, I still love the way it turned out and feel like it has a lot more movement and energy than some of my other plein air works.
