I went on a plein air painting trip with a few other live painter friends and we had a great time exploring Port St Joe, Florida & painting all day, every day. This was the very first painting of our trip. I saw receding water from the sea and just thought the lines and wet sand looked like something fun to paint. I was really trying to capture the colors of the water and the beach here and loved the way the sand and the rocks turned out.
