This painting was created at the Fairy Pools on Isle of Skye (Scotland). We hiked in and found a good place to sit. My sister in law and I painted while the boys drank some scotch and chatted. It was quite rainy on and off of course, as Scotland often is, and I just love how this painting captures all those gorgeous colors in the mountain that are brought out by the clouds.
